General Information

  • Since 1988, the Bureau of the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM) has been awarding outstanding young scientists for the IUTAM Prize, based on their papers and presentations at the ICTAM.

  • The IUTAM Prize awardees will receive $1000, a Certificate, and a Plaque.

  • Eligible applicants can apply at the time of abstract submission.

in Solid Mechanics

Best poster presentation
in either fluid mechanics
or solid mechanics

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Presenter must be no older than 35 years of age at the time of the Congress.

  • Must indicate that she/he wishes to be considered for the award during the uploading phase of her/his extended abstract.

Important Dates

  • Application Deadline: February 5, 2024

  • Award Ceremony : Closing Ceremony of the Congress

(**Attendance at both the main congress and the closing ceremony is mandatory for all applicants.)
